Full-stack engineer · Building since 2010

Ram Miranda Cajiga

Technical Lead

I help engineering teams ship faster and safer: putting AI to work responsibly, holding code to a clear standard, and building e-commerce platforms that run on the modern cloud.

This is the story of how that took shape, from level one to the final boss.

Begin at Level 1

Level 1 The Foundation

Every boss starts by mastering the basics, and by doing the hard work others avoid.

Inventory
  • Worn Staff of PHP Backend systems and admin tools
  • Tome of MySQL Normalization Clean tables, faster queries
  • Sandals of Debugging Finds the root cause, not the symptom

In 2010 I started building the systems behind the screen: the servers and databases that quietly decide whether a website feels instant or broken. The work was unglamorous. I reorganized data so it stayed accurate, traced slow pages back to their root cause, and removed the bottlenecks that buckled under real traffic.

That is where I learned what honesty means in engineering: not hiding a slow system behind a bigger server, but finding the real problem and fixing it properly. Computer-science fundamentals gave me the tools. Diligence made them count.

What it meant

  • Faster, more dependable websites when traffic spiked
  • Data that stayed clean and trustworthy as businesses grew
  • A lasting habit of fixing causes, not symptoms
Under the hood

PHP · MySQL · database normalization · query optimization · computer-science fundamentals

Level 50 Equipping the Gear

Gaining the high-level tools, optimizing the inventory, and mastering the environment.

Inventory
  • Helm of the Cloud AWS · Cloudflare · edge computing
  • Container Bulwark Docker · Kubernetes
  • Boots of Migration Bare-metal to AWS with minimal downtime
  • Girdle of Pipelines Jenkins CI/CD · automated releases
  • Commerce Codex Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud
  • Strategist's Mantle Master's in Project Management

With the foundation set, the work moved up a level, from individual systems to the platforms large online stores run on. I led moves from company-owned hardware to the cloud with minimal downtime, modernized aging business applications so they could keep evolving, and built automated release pipelines so new work reached customers safely and predictably.

Along the way I earned a Master’s in Project Management. It is the strategy layer that keeps technical delivery tied to business goals, budgets and timelines.

What it meant

  • Infrastructure that scales with demand instead of fighting it
  • Legacy applications brought up to date without halting the business
  • Releases that are routine and repeatable, not risky events
  • Technical plans that speak the language of the business
Under the hood

AWS · Cloudflare · edge computing · Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (SFCC) · bare-metal to AWS migration · .NET modernization · Docker · Kubernetes · Jenkins · CI/CD

Level 100 · Boss The Ultimate Setup

The final form: not just fighting battles, but leading the guild and commanding the battlefield.

Pixel-art sorcerer-king with a horned crown, black beard, glowing scarred eyes and a lightning staff, surrounded by an aura and commanding seven minions.
Inventory
  • Staff of the Agent-King Cursor · Claude Code · agent rules · token optimization
  • Vaultkeeper's Amulet Zero-trust secrets · HashiCorp Vault · Azure Key Vault
  • Crown of Technical Authority Sets direction for new B2C platform initiatives
  • Courier's Sigil Confirmation emails that arrive reliably
  • Summon Guild 5 sworn and 2 allied developers on a 3,000+ orders/day pipeline

Today my job is to multiply what a whole team can do, and to make sure what we build is secure by default.

The setup

  • AI-assisted development. I lead how my teams work with AI coding assistants, setting clear rules for the agents and tuning how much context they use, so delivery speeds up without lowering the bar.
  • Zero-trust security. I architected security pipelines that keep passwords, keys and other secrets in dedicated vaults across large-scale internal infrastructure, so access is verified every time and never assumed.
  • Reliable customer communication. I re-engineered the path confirmation emails take, removing redundant steps so the message a customer is waiting for arrives reliably.
  • Technical authority. I am the decisive technical voice for new B2C commerce initiatives, turning cross-team requirements into one clear direction.
Under the hood
